  1. I wonder how much energy they have when they actually contact something.

I think it’s a great idea and obviously a mental mind-fuck for the russians on the ground but other than starting smaller fires (and perhaps ammo boxes) I don’t think there is much in it.

Obviously this will keep improving over the coming days and this is very much a V0.1 so here’s to more R&D. Not like they don’t have enough opportunities to.

Thermite – for info – is incredibly effective at what it does if it’s close to the target. Yes, it’ll burn through a tank and my mom’s chocolate cake but only if it’s placed on top. Dropping it from hight a) disperses it (and the energy) and b) gives the now-dispersed “droplets?” time to burn out.

    Looking forward to V2 🙂

In 3 months, sitting in your frozen snowy trench, then hearing the buzzing, and a rain of fire being dropped on you and your supplies. Seems cool.

Are Russians yet copying this type of drone? I haven’t seen it yet.

I would rather face one of these than one carrying explosives, at least there is a good chance of getting out of the way before getting fried.
