Q: What is War thunder?
A: War Thunder is a strategy (in some sense) game focused on mechanized warfare that is free on Steam. You drive around in tanks or whatever you want to drive and blow up other people’s vehicles until they explode.

Q: What is Discord?
A: It is a voice chat program, also called TMToIP program (Taskig MikrofonTeknik over IP), which e.g. Ventrilo or Teamspeak, where profanity, insults, cheers, weird political opinions and tasteless jokes are like sticks in the hill.

Q: Do I have to be on Discord to play?
A: Yes, it will be very difficult to participate otherwise. You have more fun if you’re on Discord, even if you don’t have a microphone (or bad microphone technology like /u/Isterpenis.)

Q: How long does it last?
A: For a while, stop writing "No one was playing :*(" if you come in at half past four in the morning. FOR THE HELL

Q: Is War Thunder difficult?
A: No, it’s so easy that even I can play it, even if I fall over.

Q: How do I drive a tank?
A: Hold W, when you see another cart with a red rectangle above it, look at it until you see a green cross over it, then press the left mouse button. Repeat until the enemy explodes.

Q: You can only be 4 in a squad?
A: Yes, but if you sit on the same BR (we usually run 1.3 so everyone can participate) and start at the same time, there is a high chance that you will end up in the same battle even though you have several different squads. When driving we ended up with 2 squads in the same battle 5/6 times.

Q: Can’t we run our own battle instead, then that problem is avoided?
A: Yes, we can, but then you lose development points and currency to research and buy new modifications and carts for.

Q: But I’m a noob right?
A: We run the battle rating that suits the group best. 1.3 means that even noobs have tanks and the veterans have something decent that they researched upgrades on. It’s smooth enough to play.
