  1. We can have a conversation about whether the rules make sense and whether they’re being applied fairly, but the rules are the rules.

If you run a stop sign and get a ticket, but the policeman did not ticket the person in front of you who also ran the stop sign, you still get a ticket for running the stop sign and you will still pay the fine.

  2. A bunch of them are probably vetting their handlers and being shocked where they were paid from, the rest are trying to figure out if they can get a raise.

  3. >One wonders if that has anything to do with an unsealed affidavit released last week alleging a Kremlin-backed agency had nearly 600 U.S.-based influencers

    So, all of them

  4. This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://www.msnbc.com/the-reidout/reidout-blog/tenet-media-russia-indictment-social-media-influencers-rcna170283) reduced by 61%. (I’m a bot)

    > An author page for Lauren Chen is no longer available on the webpage for far-right activist Charlie Kirk's organization, Turning Point USA. Along with her husband, Chen co-founded a company, Tenet Media, that's at the heart of the DOJ indictment.

    > Whatever the reason, Turning Point USA, which has promoted many of the influencers employed by Tenet Media – such as Benny Johnson, Tim Pool and David Rubin – seems to have determined one course of action at this point is to paper over its links to Chen in the wake of her appearance in the DOJ report.

    > If that's true – and Pool is not known for being a straight shooter – his apparent willingness to sit for an interview probably doesn't sit well with fellow Trump-supporting podcaster Dan Bongino, who used a portion of his podcast last week to warn fellow right-wing influencers about "People working with the feds," claiming they and other right-wing influencers could be "Ensnared" in the DOJ's investigation.

  5. Need to look into Joe Rogan as well, dude is so in the pocket of the GOP and Russia it isn’t funny.

  6. Jeez, I really hate “influencer” culture. I’ve never understood how these people get put on any higher of a pedestal than someone ranting at the sketchy donut shop at 3 AM.

  7. Is this infiltrated influencers list have any parallels to Trumps recent youtuber interview circuit by any chance?

  8. This should be a come-to-jesus moment for all of these people. Their content is what drew them specifically to be targeted for a Russian propaganda network. They were already spouting it. I do not doubt that these assholes already knew this, but if any of them had actual integrity, they would disavow their previous rhetoric and do some real soul searching. They would have to have a soul, but hey, a man can dream.

  9. I owe mitt romney an apology. back when he was campaigning against Obama he was asked who the biggest threat to the USA was and he said Russia. In
thought that was a silly thing to say. Nobody else had mentioned Russia at any other time so it was out of left field for me. I guess there was more info circulating on the hill.

    >feds alleged Chen and her husband knowingly used it to funnel millions of dollars from Russian officials to right-wing content creators who were paid to push far-right and pro-Kremlin talking points.

**Knowingly**. Fuck these people with a pineapple. Kirk and his missus will have separate and extended views of some cinderblock walls, I hope.

  11. Yeah, their source of cash is under scrutiny, guys like Pool should just register as an agent of a foreign government.

  12. If Trump wins, and that unfortunately looks likely, he will end any investigations and pardon anyone loyal to him.

  13. I just love the ultimate irony of people who most heavily wrap themselves in the flag being paid foreign agents. It’s right wing hypocrisy crystallised.

All this evidence keeps piling up yet the guy at the head of it all is still free and able to run for president. The average person would have been in jail long ago without a hope of getting out. Justice sucks.
