>“In a sense, I think we have to broaden the scope of the question because, after all, we have two mass shootings a day in our country, based on the data just last year,” he said. “And this does not happen everywhere in the world. The problem is that we have politicians in our country who are beholden to the gun lobby. And either based on ambition or fear, they go to work every day doing their bidding while the gun lobby lines its pockets with the blood of our children.”
Powerful words. And he’s spot-on about the need for “common-sense gun safety measures.”
Not even fifteen years ago, I saw presentations about Columbine in school as an unimaginable horror and school shootings were rare but terrifying when they happened.
Now, the republican VP nominee is out there saying school shootings are a “fact of life” and their presidential nominee has told us we “have to get over it.”

Call out the CEOs of these gun companies by name and their board members and the elected
Officials that take money from them. Release their names in a public press conference and condemn them. Bring them into the conversation, this is capitalist America. Money talks and if they are going to benefit from death then they should be front and center in the public eye the way Gates, Musk, Zuckerberg and Bezos are for how Tech is fucking up.

This is a very very clear case of parental neglect and a broken family leading to violence. Stop trying to make everything about the 2nd Amendment: this is about building a culture that values families over other priorities.
