Texas for Harris???? Wouldn’t that just about win it outright?
IcyPyroman1 on
Please Texas just this one time
I’ve actually seen more Harris for president sings than Trump 2024 signs. although I live in a more blue area but don’t recall seeing that many Biden signs in 2020 so that gives me a bit of hope

Getting those states blue would be glorious. Add Georgie to the mix and the south aint looking bad at all 🙂

I just don’t see it flipping, but imagine the dream of Florida being called for Harris by like 10pm. Could go to bed so early election night.

Even if Harris doesn’t win Florida or Texas, if Debbie Mucarsel-Powell could win the senate seat in Florida that could win them the senate.. only 1 point difference in this poll

Let’s not lose focus people, those swing state polls are still wayy too close. Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin should be giving us jitters. Support with white males is too low and concerning, help.
AnonAmbientLight on
Trump won both of these states by about 2-3% points in 2020.Â
There’s no reason they can’t be won by Harris, but Democrats need a ground game there and folks have to get registered and turn out to vote!Â
In the previous elections it has been very close, all while **~10 million** voters didn’t vote.

Wasn’t this also the case in the polls for Biden in 2020? I wouldn’t put much faith in this. Remember, Biden’s team was beginning to campaign in Ohio and Iowa in October of 2020 because of good polls and look what happened. Plus Biden was consistently ahead in North Carolina and lost by 70,000 votes. What I’d say is don’t read much into this and the campaign needs to stay focused on the swing states!

Democrats in Texas need to show up. We can win, we just need to win with a large enough margin that Abbot and Paxton can’t Corruption it away.
Distinct-Practice131 on
It’s true the likelihood of her taking Texas is unlikely but its not impossible here and we need to remember that. Texas replubicans have been making it harder for Texans to vote recently, because they clearly see they could lose the state. The last few years have shown blue votes slowly increasing in the state as well. Let the gop waste money they don’t have to defend “hard” red states hopefully.

Please god let this happen it would be so funny if both TX and FL flip blue

This is statistical noise. The election is still in a dead-heat. It’ll come down to Pennsylvania, where Kamala and Trump are effectively tied.

DeSantis is trying to get Amendment 4 off the Florida ballot by questioning the petition that Florida constituents signed. The deadline to challenge the petition was January 5th. Yet, they are trying to undermine the will of the people as the election nears. I hope this can get more attention to help those of us here in Florida! It’s clear they are trying to suppress voters come November.
It’s brilliant to even be in play in these two states, especially with the HUGE fundraising advantage. She can afford to keep him battling hard for states he was counting on a month ago. Could make all the difference for swing state battles.

Every election dems go all starry-eyed over the thought of flipping Texas and Florida and every election we’re disappointed.
That doesn’t mean we should ignore them, they are slowly moving towards the center, but don’t count on this year being when it finally happens. Remember they reelected Ted Cruz, and *everybody* hates Ted Cruz. He’s Texas’ Bill DeBlasio.

I find it difficult to believe how close TX & FL are polling with PA.

Both state governments will go through every conceivable contortion to prevent Harris from flipping them.

This is cool and all, but these razor thin margins everywhere are so disgusting. It just opens up the possibility of a 10-12 MILLION vote deficit for Dump as he wins the electoral college and swoops back into power while being hated by the majority of Americans.
Can’t we just get a big lead in the 7 swing states instead?
These next 2 months have me sick to my stomach. Thank god I go back to work next week to keep my mind off this shit.

It’s vital to keep pushing. The closer the results in deep red states the stronger the message we send – and a surprise victory in one of these places would send shockwaves through the GOP. Not to mention the desperate need to win down ballot races so we can establish a foothold for future elections.
Keep donating and volunteering. Reach out to people you know who may be considering not voting. We need to overperform the polling. Every single vote is going to be important.

How many last Democrats in Florida were +5% and lost by 5%?
FL polling has not been valuable past 8 years.

all of this doesn’t matter. Trump regularly overperforms his polling #s. remember on paper, HRC had 2016 in the bag. no one should be complacent, everyone should vote, and 2024 is not the year for 3rd party protest votes

I’ve been saying it for a while. Florida can flip. Look how close the governor election in 2018 was. And the last one was between a republican and a former republican who was already governor so people already knew what he was about.

Not if Ken and Greg have anything to say about.
There absolutely will be corruption in this election, and it will be as a direct result of the GOP’s actions.

If Trump loses Texas we will never see him in politics again. That’s like a Democrat losing New York.
So let’s make that happen.

In my fantasy, Florida goes blue early and the vote count is so lopsided, Desantis won’t be able to deny it. The national nightmare will be over and we can all get a good sleep.
If Trump were to lose in Texas, we have a double super bonus: Trump suffers an epic humiliation and Fled Cruz likely gets sent back to Cancun.
