  1. Ah yes, purposely hiding information from the public is totally going to have no impact on conspiracy theories which sparked recent civil unrest, none at all.

This is just the beginning, they will start hiding boat numbers next. Why stop there, just hide any information the public may not like because “its sensitive and people might riot”. Slippery slope.

  3. Hahaha so they’re either skimming cream off the top of their expenses or they are providing items that are luxury.

  4. Not ideal but understandable, especially when we have people like [this bellend](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cgedwp08dwdo) still running around.

Given that Hampshire has been cutting it’s budget recently the works done are likely just going to be the bare-bones to make it liveable if that, but [I wouldn’t count on it](https://news.sky.com/story/bibby-stockholm-claustrophobic-asylum-seeker-barge-risks-human-rights-breach-mps-warn-13062220). Any figure released is just going to be used as a weapon against asylum seekers so why publish it.

  5. Rules need to be changed (or enforced), the government shouldn’t be allowed to withhold anything unless it’s a *real* security concern.

Often wonder why the costs for these things are through the roof when it would be cheaper, and better, to build housing, even temporary buildings. Can only think there must be other costs to do with legal or insurance or paying people big bucks to come up with brilliant ideas like let’s house them on a boat.
