No ones expected otherwise, all things considered. If Trump acts surprised then he’ll win the Oscar for that. Hopefully she can bring a few over with her.

I still resent her deeply for, well, just about everything she did prior to January 6th.

However, unlike other allegedly “moderate” Republicans who continue to prop up psycho Cheetoh, I respect her for saying what so many conservatives privately know but are afraid to admit: we all need to put aside our differences and vote for Kamala Harris to save American democracy.

  3. WTG Liz! I’ll be the first to admit that I disagree with her position on most issues, but she’s honest and has integrity. You can’t say that about too many Republiquans.

The only way to cure the disease that the GQP is suffering from is to remove it. We must vote out many GQP members who only pander to the worst people in America, which are RW voters.

Democrats will restore democracy and prove to the world that our system works.

  4. Respect. Liz has earned a lot of respect from all Americans, for putting country over party; a trait you never see in the modern GOP cult.

  5. Country over party. Now we need Pence to do the same.

That would be a slap in the face for Trump.

She could have easily said she was going to write in another name or simply stayed silent. Granted she’s already burned a lot of bridges with her party, but I still see this as political courage.

If you would have told 2000’s era me that Cheney is one of the most principled names in republican politics, I would not have believed you.

  8. I hope more republicans have the personal fortitude to stand up and say denounce Trump. They need to get up there and hammer home to the MAGA faithful that Trump is a bullshit artist. There’s already enough MAGA republicans beginning to waver as they watch Trump descend into incoherent rambling.

Hammer home that, if you actually *listen* really carefully, that what he is doing is bullshitting. Trying not to have an opinion about anything. Skirting around the fact that he doesn’t actually know anything about anything. Bullshitting.

And point out that this man has done this all his life. Go for easy, highly probable stuff. Trump ran a fraudulent university scheme: he bullshitted people out of money and was caught. Trump ran fraudulent charities: he bullshitted people out of money meant for cancer that went to line his own pockets, and was caught.

This is what he has done all his life, and if you listen closely… in Australia, Australians tend to spot bullshit a mile away, and we have a saying “doesn’t pass the pub test.” I don’t know what the equivalent saying in the US is; but the point is you don’t have to be a journalist to spot when you’re being bullshitted; you don’t have to be educated; you don’t have to be rich; in fact the working class poor are often the best a detecting bullshit. At least in Australia they are.

Just *listen* to the guy. Every tell tale sign of being a bullshitter is there…

  9. If Kamala is serious about a Republican in her Cabinet, I really can’t think of a better choice.

I mean hell she’s from Wyoming. She probably actually knows enough to be a decent Secretary of Agriculture.

Her dad was a giant piece of shit. And yet the legacy is nothing compared to Trumps absolute horror show of humanity
