The stats are always based on the top 50 companies in Japan. Most people work at a non top 50 companies. So the news about the raise has absolutely nothing to do with the normal Japanese. Which is about 95% of the people. It’s all BS.

This article isn’t to say that people should stop complaining. It just states that it went up instead of down and only went up a bit. Why are people acting like this is the final wage increase that anyone is ever going to get?
