Harris, Trump neck and neck in polls Polls suggest Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are neck and neck in the race for the White House.

Political information site Real Clear Politics says Harris had 48.1 percent support while Trump had 46.2 percent in the national polling average as of August 30.

As of July 20, shortly before President Joe Biden ended his reelection bid, Trump had a three-point lead at 47.8 percent, with Biden at 44.8 percent.

The polling average of seven key battleground states as of Wednesday shows Harris with 47.7 percent support to Trump’s 47.5 percent.

Harris has a narrow lead in the states of Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan and Georgia. Trump is slightly ahead in the states of Arizona and North Carolina. Both were tied in Pennsylvania at 47.2 percent.

In these seven states, the largest difference between the two was 1.4 percentage points in Wisconsin.
