I’m starting to wonder if there’s some silent coup going on in the GOP.
They don’t seemingly have their usual establishment at the forefront. It’s not McConnell, Cruz, McCarthy, etc. it’s barely even MTG, Daniels, Tim Scott, trump seemingly doesn’t even trot them out anymore.
It’s Trump, Vivek, Tulsi, RFK, Elon and sometimes JD. That’s the GOP, spearheaded by Laura Trump at the committee level.
They seem more like a fringe 3rd party rather than the usual GOP we know.

I have no doubt the average Republican wishes Trump wasn’t running in 2024. They probably wish he was still around to encourage his supporters to vote, but they wish MAGA would end.
I’m torn because, outside of deep red areas, MAGA candidates don’t do well in general elections. For example, no way would Fetterman have beat a traditional GOP candidate. And Robinson in NC is the best thing to ever happen to Dems down there.
