I doubt it’s very effective, but it’s enough of a danger not to act upon being shot at, so at worst it’ll flush people out of their positions.

We are watching what is the crude version of a potential terrifying future to warfare thousands of machine gun drones could be autonomously sent to a certain grid with the goal of killing anything that moves in said grid with no outsider input other then the initial target coordinates
