  1. Shows how much of a cesspit Twitter has become since Elon ‘Trump Lover’ Musk took over.

In reality, Twitter is now for the racists/transphobes/homophobes and the news outlets reporting on them.

  2. This isn’t even just a passive acceptance of racial hatred – they reviewed the complaint and explicitly chose to reject it:

    > A few days after her post, X rejected a complaint from a user who flagged the message to it.

If Twitter allows and encourages posts which call on people to burn down a hotel with refugees trapped inside, those in charge of the platform should be in court for incitement.

It goes all the way up to Musk. We should be putting out a warrant for his arrest. Even if we know that the Americans are unlikely to cooperate, it sends a message and it means that he can be treated like the terrorist sympathiser he really is if he steps foot in the UK.

There are alternatives to X. Look at Brazil. 500k people signed up to BlueSky since they blocked X.

Elon Musk Is an absolute ball bag.

  4. So if they refuse to take down posts attempting to incite racially motivated violence, surely that would make them complicit in any potential violence?

  5. Thankfully, I never bothered with Twitter. It seemed vacuous and shallow. Since Musk took over, you can add ignorant and racist to reasons to bin it.

Imagine spending years in prison and losing your career by believing some bullshit post because it was **All over** Twitter or Facebook?

  6. Twitter (I refuse to call it ‘X’) is a dumpster fire and the world would be better off without it.

X is capable of toppling governments and influencing elections. It’s a lot of power concentrated in the hands of a single guy. This was the plan all through out. It’s was never about free speech. I hope platforms are held accountable for spreading disinformation.Free speech shouldn’t be confused with disinformation.

  8. Well, yeah, In some ways it wasn’t racist enough for the new Twitter (sometimes referred to as ‘X’).

A childminder. What the f**k would this despicable excuse of a person be teaching kids. I hope she has her ticket pulled!!!! …..FFS…. 🙄

It’s wild how all this only becomes an issue once it’s the other political side getting leeway.

Anyone else remember the BLM Riots? Lots of calls to violence on Twitter, from TRAs threatening to punch all TERFs, to BLM supporters threatening to burn down institutions.

If you only consider social media an issue now, then well I have to ask is it only because it now feels like the shoe is on the other foot politically.

Social media is bad for democracy full stop.

Advocating for deportation is not inherently racist, but suggesting the hotels housing asylum seekers be set in fire certainly is .

FFS X (Elon) sort yourself out.

X censorship is weird. I was banned for Inciting violence on X for telling someone who contradicted themself that they “just shot themself in the foot”. They total refused to reconsider their position when I argued it was a common term and didn’t incite violence. I got the feeling I was talking to AI.

  13. The reason they have these rules is so when rioting is actually warranted like when the Government wants to mandate our kids into World War 3 so they can sell more missiles to Ukraine and Israel. X will be the platform that you can communicate on. That’s providing they don’t send us to prison first for being racist conscientious objectors

  14. If Twitter* is compliant in breaking UK law then surely our government has no choice but to block it?? Please tell me I’m not the only one who thinks that.

I’m sick of this country having no backbone when dealing with large companies such as Twitter, Amazon, Starbucks, Tesco, etc.

*I’m not calling it by Elon’s stupid choice of name.

I’ve had similar issues reporting obvious scams on FaceSpace (often weight loss adverts with AI or badly photoshopped “before and after” images). Every single time I report them I get the automated response a day or so later saying that it broke no rules.

These social media companies just don’t care and until someone enforces some decency on them they’ll continue to take the piss (and the advertising money).

There is only one rule on X – don’t upset Elon. Otherwise, anything goes it seems.

There’s no way we can allow social media companies to be above the law. The laws of the land supersede social media rules. Otherwise, we’re going to be even more at the whims of these madmen billionaires.

Reddit users don’t like twitter anymore because it’s no longer an ultra left wing shitpit where everyone agrees with them. What a surprise. It’s the only social media that you can see all sides of the story so no wonder the left wants it banned.
