Yup. I know multiple republicans who feel this way. Most Americans are socially liberal. So when you’re attacking women, black people, mocking lgbtq it’s just a massive turn off.

There is a reason why trump has never won the popular vote.

  2. Not going to the extremes risks losing support of the own base and nothing happens until someone wins the primary.  It’s kind of a catch-22.

  3. …and crossed the line into absurdity.. with lies that can often be fact checked… so that only the stupid can be convinced to participate. Intelligent, honest, informed Republicans are in a bind – vote for a fraud, don’t vote, or vote for the other side.

  4. He seems to be getting nastier. Childish names have been replaced by nasty insults and lies.

His little Arlington stunt was done to create a campaign ad. Who, in fuck, takes thumbs up photos at a gravesite?

    He’s so pathetic.

I can’t imagine how anyone on the planet can support this man.

    I

    JUST

    DON’T

    GET

    IT.

Can anyone explain it to me?

Republicans are violent radicals. They offer nothing of value and only want to destroy the United States and the future of American children. Awful people. The worst people. Radicals!

  6. I’ll believe it when they vote against it. Germany just proved that people’s words and actions can be wildly different.

I honestly don’t know if The Boys is satire of the US political machine, or the US political machine is satire of The Boys at the moment.

  8. People still supporting the GOP don’t seem to understand how far off the deep end they’ve gone. It’s a disturbing lack of perspective and self awareness.

  9. With Trump flip flopping around on the abortion amendment and endorsing (for now) the marijuana legalization amendment, I think he’s extremely worried about losing his home state, and to have Mucarsel-Powell also win there would be fantastic. It can happen.

IMO the people in most countries are slightly center left. They want cautious progress. Even center right people want progress, just slower and well thought out. It’s only the hard right that wants things reversed.

Understatement! They are bat shit crazy, but they cheat with voter suppression etc so they win sometimes.

  12. I actually disagree on this. They reject them mostly because they now know Trump and because Trump is a terrible messenger. Most people don’t really give a crap on or really listen to what the Republicans are talking, this changed with Trump, he got all their disgusting talking point to the center of attention that they actually want to keep quiet about.

I’m honestly surprised that after Bidens withdrawal they didn’t IMMEDIETLY switch out Trump

  13. Every speech by every Democrat up to the election must include the words “extremist”, “loon”, “fascist”, “unAmerican”, “anti-American” etc.

  14. *Now* they have crossed a line? NOW!?

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be so very glad if they choose not to vote for Trump and the R’s, but for fucks sake it’s been nearly 10 years of EXACTLY the same behavior. We have been pointing it out to you people the WHOLE TIME. None of this is a surprise.

  15. People aren’t really rejecting republicans though. Just a few percentage points, which might be enough – according to polling. It’s quite possible that there are a lot of people sensible enough not to admit to voting for Trump’s party, who nevertheless do so.

  16. America doesn’t look like the Republican Party

And Republicans have made it abundantly clear how much they hate anyone not like them. They also are very clear why they like Trump so much — he “tells it like it is” and promises to hurt the people they’ve been conditioned to hate.

But they aren’t. About half the population will still end up voting for Republicans, and there are huge new disinformation campaigns that the general public has yet to see the effects of what’s to come. Dark money politics is hard at work. VOTE!!! Check your registration. Talk to your friends, family, and neighbors.

Guess what… Democrats are moderates today and they align more with old Republican values than Republicans. No wonder they’re jumping ship.

They’ve been crossed, it’s just crossing into something beyond extreme and half are waking up.

For years now, They’ve edged out so far and let Trump make them into ever-changing and contradictory talking-point-parrots that they had no idea just how crazy they seemed to normal people.

Something really weird happened to them, it’s like a brain washing of a kind I don’t think we’ve seen in generations – like maybe since Hitler time.

I’m glad they’re coming around but they privately need to acknowledge just how much a slippery slope that kind of brain fuckery can be and try to take command over their own selves and ideas, to question things and reject what doesn’t align. They need a good hard look within.

I don’t think we are done talking about what was done to this country and what almost is/was.

  20. No shit. They need to “take their party back” from the crazies. They let the inmates run the asylum and now you have this.
