The car only keep 1 hour (Or if Sentry has detected something wort of saving) so towing the car doesn’t keep the regular video recoding from being deleted. If sentry was on and they tow the car, the video will be erased anyway.
It would be more effective to ask for the USB drive. That way the recording won’t be overwritten…

I get why, but basically all photo/video that your personally owned devices record can be forcefully taken by law enforcement/the courts. It’s wild. Just feels icky.
