There is a lot of room to add to the Harris campaign among Republican voters. Trumps wildly shifting positions, his favor the rich. ineffective economic policies, and his love affair with Putin is not OK with Republican voters. The Russian interference in the 2016 campaign, lots of our elders remember the cold war, Putin was the head of the KBG. Just talk to them, we need every single vote this time, the country really depends on it.

Trump was never a true conservative, but he’s been flip flopping on every position in the last month. He’s unreliable.

  3. It is so confusing to me how that can be true yet the two candidates are still so close in the polls.

  4. I think the polls are way off . Too many new young people and hard to get an accurate number . Either way, it’s not enough to win. It has to be a resounding landslide or we would’ve lost.

  5. Probably helps that she isn’t constantly trashing the country and saying how much it sucks the way Trump does.

She’s so much better than Trump as a person and as a leader. But she doesn’t have an R next to her name. Hence we will hold our nose and vote for Trump.

They can think she’s running a good campaign and still vote against her, I don’t understand what’s confusing about this?

  8. Trump shouldn’t be electable but Republicans love the swamp and being shit on by their candidate.

  9. Should be more than 25% .
In reality, 40% of Republicans don’t like Trump, which was my understanding

  10. What this says to me that will help most is the appeal to independents. A dem getting 25% favourability amoung Rs is amazing and probably means a lot of Indy support.

  11. Maybe there’s hope for them yet! I am guilty of painting all Republicans with a broad brush, judging one and all by the bad behaviour of the worst and loudest. I would like to be better, maybe not be such an asshole myself.

Sarah Longwell (a Never-Trump republican who runs The Bulwark podcast) does focus groups with republicans a lot – admittedly with like minded voters, “Romney-Republicans” if you would.

This lines up with what she reports. The so called, “low information” voter cannot be reached. If going on a testosterone driven 20-something you tube guy is all you need, that voter isn’t going to vote for Harris or any democrat.

But there’s a contingent of level headed republicans who long for the pre-trump era. Many of them are women who do see the abortion issue as important – remember 2022??

I’d like to know how the question was worded.

If you are a Trump supporter and thought Kamala revealed she was indeed a horrible left wing extremist you’d see that as positive as she would be even less competition that Biden.

  14. Ive been around 2 different people in the neighborhood (suburban AZ), retired. Both have said “I don’t agree with him but Kamala scares the crap out of me”… they pronounce her name wrong and are just repeating what right wing media tells them… be afraid of the younger, other people.
