Ukraine is pressing Western nations to allow long-range strikes on military facilities in Russia.

Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov met US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin in Washington on Friday.

Umerov later told CNN that he presented the US with a list of targets for long-range missiles inside Russia. He said they are “legitimate military targets,” such as logistic hubs and airfields.
