  1. They are also going to take over from the RSA and driving tests will include “variable surge pricing” so when demand exceeds supply the price will go up.

The demand has always exceeded supply.

  2. The thing with Ryanair is that it’s generally idiots that give out about them. Read the T&Cs and you’ll be grand. Don’t expect 5 star service from a company literally calling itself ‘the no frills airline’. They’re offering you a filght to Birmingham for 13 quid, it’s not gonna be Qatar Airways! Myself and my missus got to Bratislava and Luxembourg from Dublin for 30 Euro return each two weeks in a row. Just brought a backpack and didn’t bother choosing a seat. Have seen 80% of Europe thanks to them. Handy as fuck.

  3. *”Drinks must be pre-bought with tickets, though will only be severed after you pass a cognitive test, to ascertain your level of drunkenness, which will be given every two drinks, if failed all pre-bought drinks are non refundable”*

  4. Not going to defend Ticketmaster here, the shitness of the site and it crashing when you’re at the top of the queue is in them, but from what I’ve heard and read in recent days, the promoters and by extension the band are as much to blame as TM. They decided to sign up for the so called dynamic pricing/gouging in price, so fuck them too.

  5. Ryanair is an absolute gift to us, you just need to not be a gobshite about it. They’ll get you from Dublin to Paris for like thirty quid if you’re clever, I’ve been places I never would have been able to go when I was younger thanks to Ryanair.

Is the flying experience shite? Yes. Are the staff kind of useless? Also yes. But in a literal sense you get what you pay for.

  6. Complain about Oasis or any other artist who uses dynamic pricing next. They sign off on it and make bank on it (as does Ticketmaster, to be fair). If you only complain about Ticketmaster, you let the artists off the hook. They’re a faceless company, and artists will keep going back to them if they know they can charge whatever they want and Ticketmaster will take the majority of the flak.
