On 31 August, a high school girl fell from the roof of a commercial building at Yokohama Station in Kanagawa Prefecture and collided with a woman, killing them both.
On 31 August, a high school girl (17) fell from the rooftop garden on the 12th floor of the JR Yokohama Tower at the west exit of Yokohama Station and collided with Chikako Chiba (32), who was walking below, and both died in the hospital where they were taken.
Police are investigating the possibility of suicide by jumping to their deaths.

I remember a similar story in Hep5 shopping mall in Osaka. Someone jumped from the top balcony and killed the person they landed on
Very sad but almost makes me wonder if it was intentional… why else jump from somewhere so busy into a crowd with the high possibly of landing on someone…
Anyway that story scared the shit out of me. Horrible

I watched a man jump off a department store roof next to the station exit years ago in Gunma. Â I was inside a building with sealed windows about 40 meters away. An older man he checked no one was walking below him before he jumped.Â
The KOBAN was next to the station exit and the police exited with a blue sheet to cover the deceased. One of the ladies from our office went to the police to tell them I saw him jump. They didn’t need to speak to me. Such a sad but all too common occurrence. RIP ladies.Â
