I thought of making this a series. First of all, let me tell you why I did this. Sometimes I see people complaining about the lack of architecture in Turkey. But in fact, there is architecture in Turkey, it’s just that unfortunately there is no space left for the application of this architecture today. With these posts, I wanted to both inform people and create an archive.

If I were to talk about this apartment, we can see that there are more open spaces compared to the Ankara apartment I shared in my previous post. I don’t know the reason for this, but I think that since Ankara is a cold place, fewer windows were preferred at the time. Another element commonly seen in Kadıköy/Moda apartments is mosaic coverings in turquoise/blue tones, facade designs divided by boxes, windows on the same wall at different lower levels (I couldn’t reflect this much in the sims because the window options were very limited).

The next Turkish architecture will be an apartment example from Izmir. I hope you enjoy these posts 🙏
