  1. >Americans, driven by a Democratic surge, are the most enthusiastic about the presidential election in 24 years of Gallup polling.

Helpful enough, but a la that *Nascar* bit of “analysis” from 2004:

“John Kerry lives in a mansion in Massachusetts, George Bush lives on a ranch in Crawford!”

    And Jon Stewart’s rejoinder?

“That’s just the kind of sharp political analysis one can expect from someone who *drives in circles* for a living…” – *The Daily Show*

    Or?

“Take you out on a date?”

    We elect *leaders*, not friends?

  3. Hardly surprising, most of us have been begging for a candidate who doesn’t qualify for discounted movie tickets since Obama left.

I find it hard to trust anyone who won’t be alive to see the consequences of their decisions.

  4. I’m thrilled, but it also boggles my mind that so many people adamantly refused to vote for Biden but now are willing to race out to vote for his VP.

Like yea sure something could happen to Biden… and we’d get Harris.

I guess it just proves America cares more about song and dance than actual policy.

  5. Let’s turn the enthusiasm into votes. Lots and lots of votes. If the Dems take the House and Senate the votes can and will turn into change for everyone.

  6. Not really they are still tie. She is making the same mistake Hillary did. She plays as the smartest in the room, the one who is the most qualified for the job. She will loose if she doesn’t start attracting some of those leaning for the orange guy.

  7. This is nice but I wish people would vote like it’s their job, because it’s that important.

I think we’re going to see one of two things election night: she’s either going to blow him out of the water like we’ve seen with referendums on abortion over the last few years or it’s going to be so close it’ll drag out and be really painful to watch the conclusion. I’m hoping for the former !!

Harris joining the race gave me faith. It wasn’t until Walz joined that I had enthusiasm.
