Saying sorry is a good start… let’s hope he follows up with real action

Don’t tell me you’re sorry when you’re not,
Baby when I know you’re only sorry you caught

Can you just say sorry for being a lying hypocrite in politics? Especially when you’ve committed a criminal act?

He’s got to resign, surely?

Everyone ignoring the fact that if you’re a landlord you’re literally a ticket tout for homes and, therefore, entirely devoid of morals.
Blows my mind people think that’s a legitimate way to make money, by buying something someone else NEEDS and renting it to them for 4 times what you paid.
The fact it’s dirty is just the piss soaked cherry on a cake made of shit.

Hilarious. And entirely foreseeable. His initial statement to the BBC, who broke the original story, was dismissive and haughty – as well as obviously dishonest.
Now the story’s not going away, because obviously, fucking duh, suddenly he’s all apologies and backpedalling. Idiot. My guess is the party bigwigs have had a word.
(Also, the “property management company” he tried to blame is very clearly just his corrupt slumlord mates.)
Ban landlords. Bring back proper council housing and social rent.

Sorry he got caught and called out about it at least.

He needs to go, his predecessor was fired for standing with striking workers, here we have an actual fucking slum lord and there is no way he wouldn’t have known, if for no other reason than you would check on 6 to 7 figures of property. Hopefully, since he’s hung the agency out to dry, they have some evidence he was told about this and his leaving won’t be optional.

Only sorry because he got found out.
Should have the whip removed and be expelled from the party.

I don’t care which party he belongs to, if he knew about the issues, he should be removed from office. Have an inquiry and sort it.
Meantime, keep a close eye on whether he fixes up the places or not, and track if he’s gouging tenants on rent.
This kind of behavior isn’t appropriate for any landlord.

How the F**k a Labour MP. **A Labour MP** getting selected when he is a landlord, never mind a slum landlord.

I have a hard time believing he didn’t know anything about it.
I don’t understand why people like him either don’t know or care that shit like this will come up if they become an MP.
Also, how the fuck does a literal slum lord get selected by Labour?
