It’s because Right-wingers also hate watch Kamala on top of her actual supporters which leads to higher viewership

Super. Polls and ratings don’t win elections. Vote everyone. Tell your friends who don’t vote to vote this year.

  3. Part of it is probably because a lot of people were wanting to see if they’d fail.

Conversely, it’s not good TV when you know an interview with the other guy is *guaranteed* to fail.

  4. No matter how well she did, they would deny it, lie about it, make things up, and swear that she said something that she never said. Fox News will back them up, and then it’ll spread on Newsmax, OANN, Breitbart, and spread it to all the right wing sociopaths, thugs and assorted goons.

The so-called good part about all of this is that the American public is getting a first-hand revisit to the late 1930s when the American Nazi party held a rally in Feb 1939 @ Madison Square Garden that drew over 20,000 people. So, for those of you who say it could never happen here, welcome to Project 2025, etc.

I guess viewers don’t enjoy watching senile old men babble incoherently. It’s unsettling.

  6. Even putting enthusiasm aside, this should hardly be surprising.

For better or worse, the general public knows who Trump is. No one is tuning in to say “gee, I wonder what this guy is all about?”

But most Americans were paying little attention to Kamala Harris a little over month ago, and Walz just a couple weeks ago. There was inevitably going to be a lot more people tuning in just to learn more about them, especially for their first interview since replacing Biden.

  7. I understand that everyone is obsessed with ratings for interviews, because Trump is obsessed with them. But I’m worried that even when Trump is gone, this is how we will quantify the quality of an interview. Doesn’t matter how substantive or beneficial the questions or responses were. All that will matter is how well it rated

  8. TLDR; Democrats watch the Democratic candidate on CNN. Democrats do not watch the Republican candidate on CNN.

  9. Higher ratings, larger crowds, more volunteers, far greater campaign contributions. This is why I think polling is massively under-estimating Kamala’s support. I’d say it’s more likely than not she takes every swing state.

  10. Of course. Trump isn’t saying anything that he hasn’t said before. We all know who he is and what his shtick is. There’s very little that an interview could reveal. Harris and Walz are relatively unknown despite Harris being the VP for four years, so an interview with them matters as voters want to know more about them.

Trump used to be must watch TV, now he’s just playing the hits for the fan base.

Dana Bash was horrible in this interview, using a bunch of right wing manufactured controversies and wasting time that could have been spent on policy discussion and differentiation with the other side. Like the bullshit about Tim’s service record? Not surprising from CNN but still depressing to see.

That said, I am full of glee any time Trump gets crushed in the ratings because his pathetic ego can’t handle it.

I wish media would talk about policy and track records instead of polls and ratings

  14. Trump is a has been. His best days are behind him. He is too old to be president or even relevant in political life

  15. Everyone’s sick of Trump’s tired, old, weird, dumb ass and his lame schtick. He’s been stuck on repeat for years and has nothing new or interesting to say… Just the same complaining and moaning.

  16. How was the interview. I can’t get through the trolls to actually get a clear picture.

  17. What I enjoyed about the interview is that we saw two smart, capable, decent people with ideas and a vision for the future.

For the first time in a long time, I’m actually hopeful for what they can do.

I love hearing the absolutely pathetic cope from right wing propaganda mills.

Numbers dont lie. Donny is cancelled.

Does Don have anything new to say, or is it just the same tired, old grievances of the past 8 years with equal parts incoherent rambling?

    Yeah, that’s what I thought.
