Why is there an accident every time I go towards Rome from the A1 motorway?

So let’s be clear, I’m not complaining about the highway or the travel times, my question is legitimate.

On that particular stretch of highway, from my experience, there is an accident 5 days out of 7 of the week.

Can anyone explain to me why people crash on the Rome – Val Montone stretch more than any other point on Italian highways? If I’m wrong, send me the data because really, I don’t know, it seems to me that there is a curse on that stretch.
