Who knew that Harris and her team would turn out to be so incredibly adept at handling trump, his minions, and the media?
I sure as Hell didn’t, but I’m very pleasantly surprised.

Media question for Harris: “What is your foolproof plan to end world hunger, end homelessness, and bring peace to the middle east?”
Media question for Trump: “What is your favorite color?”

In a world of bright lights and a glittering stage, lived a man with a pageant, a dark, twisted rage. He bragged and he boasted, with a grin so wide, “I own this contest, these girls are my pride!” But beneath that smile, a sinister tale, of teens and young women, caught in his veil. He peered where he shouldn’t, a shadowy creep, turning dreams into nightmares, in silence so deep. And though he may laugh, and claim it’s all play, the truth lingers dark, and won’t go away.

Yeah as I said, nothing has really worked against Kamala in regards to trying to stop her campaign momentum. Not even Fox News, not even Trump blaming her…
Smear tactics? They backfire and people shrug it off. Attempted rumor spreading? Fade out. Try to spin a false story to damage her reputation? Nah, not happening.

The media is trying so hard to put Kamala on the defense against Trump’s ridiculous attacks about her race.
“Same old, tired playbook,” she said when Ms. Bash asked her about the claim. “Next question, please.”
Asked if she had anything to add, Ms. Harris replied: “That’s it.”

When Bash asked Harris, “That’s it?” I wish Harris had responded with something like, “You asked me for a reaction to a baseless comment by my oponent; I gave you one, but you seem to be looking for something more. Do you have a better suggestion on how I should address my own race and ethnicity so you can be satisfied and we can move on to what actually matters to the American people?”
Ironically, Democrats have sided with the press every single time Trump has disparaged and threatened them in any way, yet the press seem unapologetically committed to upholding their double standard in favor of electing Trump.
News-as-entertainment has become one of the most damaging cultural shifts in American culture in recent history.
If ratings are a good indicator, the American public is ready to move on

> The thinly veiled threat underneath all this outrage is that the media will react to being treated badly by giving the candidate bad press, but it's pretty clear that train left the station a long time ago when it comes to Clinton, so the cost-benefit analysis probably doesn't argue in favor of the campaign giving a damn either.
> To say that the threats of democracy are so great that the media is going to abandon its central role as a source of impartial information to help people vote – that's essentially saying that the news media should become a propaganda arm for a single candidate, because we prefer that candidate's agenda.
> Trump, on the other hand, lives for media attention, even though he rarely says anything that makes sense, so they see him as a candidate playing by the rules because he makes himself available to spout his gibberish.
The media’s fake-earnestness while insisting on treating these two candidates as rivals on parity with each other is sooooo fuuuuucking tired. Trump is an insane clown. Harris is highly qualified and just not controversial. Report on that.

The media seems to have forgotten that they were given their whole industry by the Bill of Rights, without the First Amendment they could not exist in their present form, libel laws and lawsuits would have destroyed them. They were given that power for the purpose of keeping the people informed of what the politicians, bankers, industrialists were up to, not act as propaganda wings of whichever party/group they favor. If they don’t understand that the folks who dreamed up Project 2025 will be taking over their news rooms, studios, etc. they need to re-read 1984.

>It’s our job to cover the full range of issues that people have. At the moment, democracy is one of them. But it’s not the top one — immigration happens to be the top [of polls], and the economy and inflation is the second. Should we stop covering those things because they’re favorable to Trump and minimize them?
You could, at the bare minimum, accurately explain the root causes of those problems: specific Trump policies and actions. THAT is your actual job, you absolute fucking dolt

Image folks, just for 5 seconds if Obama or Karmala did one of the messed up things Trump has done. Pick one, going in front of a church and holding the Bible upside-down, making fun of a disabled person on national TV, pushing aside Allies during a worldwide photo app. Undermining America’s national security agencies over Russia’s president. There are hundreds of examples that would have the Media lose their collective shit if these two did anything remotely what Trump has done. It would be 24/7/365 on most media networks.
