  1. Does this suggest a permanent reduction of €500 instead of the once off payment of €1000 which has been happening for the last few years? Was really banking on the €1000 off because it’s been so helpful as a poor college student lol.
Not to sound ungrateful tho because €500 off would certainly still help.

Wonder if FF’s pledge to review fund exit tax will see changes included in this budget. Might well provide an alternative investment away from property.

  3. Nothing for students? – “FFFG don’t care about young people!”

Something for students? – “FFFG just trying to buy votes!”

I went to an expo for colleges some time last year and Simon Harris was talking there while he was the minister for 3rd education. Honestly I forgot what he even said. I’m surprised how a man can say so much while saying so little at the same time. It’s like he’s directly linked to a septic tank. I don’t have much faith in him giving me a better experience in college

“The generation most affected by the mismanagement of banks deserves to benefit from our proper management, so I think it’s only fair we explore using the proceeds from the sale of bank shares to help fund the construction of new homes,”

They’ve finally admitted that they’ve totally fucked everyone under 40

  6. Students can’t afford digs….drop student fees
    People can’t afford rent….raise HAP/supports
People cant buy gaffs….purchase assistance from taxation
Councils can’t get social houses….buy from an over I fleted market for more money than they could build from further inflating prices.

Everyone talks about supply and demand of houses. Nobody talks about supply and demand of money. With a chronically under supplied market, any monetary efforts to put more money in the consumer pockets will just increase prices.

The only area we should be funding is building a fuck tonne of houses and skilling workers to build em.we have an immigration issue for ages, and we have a trade labour shortage. Get people coming to ireland into building apprenticeship, and give em a training allowance instead of welfare and build houses.
