  1. I liked how she didn’t take the bait and didn’t get defensive over these lies. “Same old, tired playbook. Next question, please.”

Perfect candidate for our time. This has to nail it for “fence sitters”, right? Right?!?

  3. this interview showed exactly why the campaign has barely interacted with the media so far

    Rage farming.

It was the last sentence in the story but they still made it the headline.

  5. Distinct-Practice131 on

The media has been awful on this interview so far. It’s hard to imagine why she’s waited so long to give one. So many articles that don’t have the transcripts are incredibly misleading in all of Kamalas answers.

  6. OpenImagination9 on

They aren’t worth an answer and the media was looking for a juicy sound bite.

  7. Virtual-Squirrel-725 on

    It was the perfect answer.

Trump’s Hail Mary in this campaign (I predict) will be to start a race war. Harris needs to just avoid getting drawn into that quagmire.

No independent voter right now is listening to Trump’s “she turned black” nonsense and is being persuaded to vote for him as a result. So she doesn’t need to respond.

  8. ChocoCatastrophe on

CNN only had their “gotcha questions” they weren’t interested in anything except the delusional “scandals” about Harris and Walz from the Trump campaign.

Well played. I see we may have switched to the chess board and I like that about her.

Dana Bash should be ashamed she bought into and used Trump’s racist framing of that question. If she had any journalistic morals she would issue an apology.

Dismissive and indifferent is the perfect tone to take when responding to a narcissist, well done

  12. She was calm, professional, composed. She didn’t give them any kind of a sound bite. She didn’t take any bait. This is how you do it.

  13. No_nukes_at_all on

Such a good response, there is nothing in that question and the comment behind it that requires an answer or debate.

  14. This should be on her car bumper: “I don’t take any shit. I don’t give a shit. I’m not in the shit business.” Drop mic, Kamala!

  15. Gardening_investor on

What would people have her do? If you don’t know that the man has decades of examples of his racism, why should a Black woman have to educate you on it?

  16. Cause its a bullshit question. Like, Trumps position isn’t legitimate enough to be even repeated by the media. Kamala handled it great!

  17. One of my favorite things about Kamala is how obviously over she is with bullshit from journalists.

  18. That was the best response on the whole interview. She’s trying to run a legitimate presidential campaign, and not a reality TV show called Real Presidents of Mar a Lago

  19. What a trash question and follow up question. This is the problem right now the willingness to repeat these ridiculous statements made by Trump as if the janitor at CNN couldn’t fact check her biracial status. Ridiculous.

  20. And of course, NY Times reported it as she “evaded” the question of her race. No, she just didn’t take the bait.
