How can people still support FF/FG? How is it not clear as day that their approach to housing is leading us into disaster?

Oh no, not more houses for renters to live in.

About 25-30% are purchased by local authorities and AHBs.
Would have been worth including in the article.

That is a soul destroying statistic…
Creating this type of a society was never put to the vote.

People blame immigration and asylum seekers that have nothing to do with the matter whereas the sole culprit of the housing crisis is a mafia comprised of Ireland’s own government and American Corpo.

Is it possible to see where theses homes are?

Everyone saying its fine because the rest was social housing. Surely if the government buy less social housing then there is less demand for housing so prices drop due to a higher supply of housing available on the market which will result in more affordable housing and less people requiring social housing. It’s like these help to buy and affordable housing schemes. They’re a short term solution but they’re costing the government and also driving up house prices. There’s no thought for the future or how this impacts the overall housing market

I have a sister and the house she is renting in a small town in the west of Ireland, in an estate of about 30 houses was bought by a private investor company. Since then I have heard similar stories across the west.
