I’ve never heard a candidate for political office call the military “hacks.” Trump wants to be their boss again, which makes it beyond bizarre.

  2. >“Reposting this hoping to trigger the hacks at @SecArmy,” LaCivita wrote Thursday afternoon, resharing a campaign video of Donald Trump at Arlington National Cemetery earlier this week.

  3. Jesus christ these people have zero awareness or bottom to the despicable ends they will go to. I can handle people having differing political stances, but this is just insane. The same maga people would lose their heads if the Kamala campaign did this exact thing.

  4. What a bunch of jerks! They have no respect for anyone. All effort must be made to make sure that Trump will never set foot in the White House again.

Go vote in November and Vote Straight Blue!

  5. This could have been easy political points for him and managed to mess it up like everything else he touches.

  6. It’s bad enough that they’re so evil, but they’re also so incompetent. My god please keep talking, please keep making it worse than it somehow already is…

  7. All this could have been avoided even the shady access to the site if he just acted normal, you know laid a wreath, shed a fake tear and thanked the service men/women. But no.

I remember a time when campaigning at Arlington would have been considered in bad taste almost universally.

Trump is clearly spiraling downward. If he had ever displayed any hint of empathy or humanity, I’d want to feel sorry for him, but I got nothing.

    >Trump campaign adviser Chris LaCivita has decided to take the team on a death spiral against America’s military, calling the office of the Army secretary a bunch of “hacks.”

This dude led the Swift Boats for Truth thing against Kerry in 04.

So he doesnt really care about soldiers beyond their usefulness to his political goals.

    >“This incident was unfortunate”

    Thats the Army’s response?

    Unfortunate?

    It is criminal.

    Literally against federal law.

This is just goading Trump on to do more and more illegal shit.

  11. It’s probably not a good idea to pick a fight with the army. Fighting is kind of what they do for a living.

Are you going to do something or just shake your fucking heads? Ban the fucker and his minions from the Cemetery.

  13. He goes to Arlington to look supportive of the troops and help him get their votes and he only makes himself look worse. Can this guy do anything right?

  14. First, trump wanting another insurrection, he’s not commander in chief on January 6 like he was in 2021 – he’s not their boss.

Second, making the army mad isn’t going to help him.

Third, Vance saying Kamala can “go to hell”, what about his fury over Walz’ supposed stolen valor? This seems a lot worse than misspeaking once in a 24 year military career. Vance is such a hypocrite.

  15. It might just be simpler for Team Trump lto apologize but their egos won’t allow it. More huge screwups incoming…

I know I’m being too optimistic, but it’d be great and so fitting if this is finally the last straw for a lot of the super pro military Trump supporters.

  17. At the DNC 2016, [Khizr Khan](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khizr_and_Ghazala_Khan), father of U.S. army captain [Humayun Khan](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humayun_Khan_(soldier)) who was killed in the line of duty in Iraq, gave I think the convention’s best speech.

The full text is here: https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/full-text-khizr-khans-speech-2016-democratic-national/story?id=41043609

I think the following excerpt is relevant:

    > Donald Trump, you are asking Americans to trust you with our future. Let me ask you: Have you even read the U.S. Constitution? I will gladly lend you my copy. In this document, look for the words “liberty” and “equal protection of law.”
    >
    > **Have you ever been to Arlington Cemetery? Go look at the graves of the brave patriots who died defending America — you will see all faiths, genders, and ethnicities.**
    >
    > **You have sacrificed nothing and no one.**

We’re come full circle now hunh? At the time Trump was so baffled by the concept of sacrifice that [he repeatedly confuses it with his “success”](https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/donald-trump-father-fallen-soldier-ive-made-lot/story?id=41015051).

    > Pressed by Stephanopoulos to identify the sacrifices he made for his country, Trump said, “I think I’ve made a lot of sacrifices. I work very, very hard. I’ve created thousands and thousands of jobs, tens of thousands of jobs, built great structures. I’ve had tremendous success. I think I’ve done a lot.”

And now Trump goes to Arlington Cemetery for a fucking photo-op. The guy literally cannot see sacrifice, and only personal profit.

Khizr Khan was right. Trump has never sacrificed anything. The only thing Trump knows is to sacrifice others for himself.
