Shoot down its best and brightest. Armenians think being in charge means generating all of the ideas and giving away none of the credit, so they will take opportunities handed to them on a platter and piss them away.

Have corrupt and traitorous leaders (I’m looking at you, ancient Armenian crown princes)
What’s does the American University of Armenia have to do with it?
They’re not the best University on the planet but are fairly high in standards and organization compared to other universities in Armenia.

Stumble around and just hope for the best while doing zero to get there. I hope our next generation will be better. I may be diaspora but I just want the best for my motherland.

Even though i’m a pessimist at times myself, I wanted to comment something positive against all the other comments.
Armenia never fails to surprise tourists. Almost everyone tours here with low expectations and they get blown away.

To let the best of us to break the teeth of our enemies to only later let the worst of us to hand out what we earned with blood.
To constantly divide and conquer ourselves.
To make huge contributions to our frienemies, and to take zero credit for it.
To be betrayed by our frienemies and to come back into their sphere of influence to only be betrayed again (is it really a betrayal if we don’t learn; jokes on us kind of thing).
