You can guess why they’re doing this. They have no intention of addressing the issue of immigration, instead they will criminalise talking about it.

  2. I’ve got to say, after being swept in on a wave of hope, UK Labour has had the shortest honeymoon period of any government in living memory after an election. In fact, I don’t think there’s been a honeymoon, they skipped it and moved straight into martial drudgery and aggro and now a split with the UK electorate quicker than a Love Island wedding….

  3. > Home Office sources said incidents would only be recorded where “proportionate and necessary” to protect Jewish and Muslim individuals and communities from abusive and hateful comments and behaviour while also preserving the “fundamental right” to free speech.

Why only Jewish and Muslim individuals and communities? Do Christians or Sikhs or Hindus not get the same degree of “protection”? Atheists as well while we’re at it.

  4. Sahih Muslim 1602
Jabir (Allah be pleased with him) reported:

There came a slave and pledg- ed allegiance to Allah’s Apostle (ﷺ) on migration; he (the Holy Prophet) did not know that he was a slave. Then there came his master and demanded him back, whereupon Allah’s Apostle (ﷺ) said: Sell him to me. and he bought them for two black slaves, and he did not afterwards take allegiance from anyone until he had asked him whether he was a slave (or a free man)

    Sahih al-Bukhari 7142
    Narrated Anas bin Malik:

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “You should listen to and obey, your ruler even if he was an Ethiopian (black) slave whose head looks like a raisin.”

    “Sahih al-Bukhari
Sahih al-Bukhari is a collection of hadith compiled by Imam Muhammad al-Bukhari (d. 256 AH/870 AD) (rahimahullah). His collection is recognized by the overwhelming majority of the Muslim world to be the most authentic collection of reports of the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). It contains over 7500 hadith (with repetitions) in 97 books. The translation provided here is by Dr. M. Muhsin Khan.”

Edit: sounds like racial hatred to me, unlike this story from the article of course. –

    – “The changes followed “trivial” cases such as a man who ended up with a police file for whistling the theme tune to Bob the Builder at his neighbour, who perceived racial hatred.”

“Islamophobia” will become criminalised. This will strangle any legitimate criticism of the religion? Hard to say.

I feel for ex Muslims (there are plenty) many living secret double lives and see this as another turn of the screw in a silent cultural apostasy campaign that they despair Western countries are gladly taking up against them. Or those who are officially ex Muslim and criticising the religion. Who needs the threat of honour violence to silence them when UK State will gladly do it for you.

  6. The football protection squad can only protect scumbag football clubs and deal with online comments. I hope every part of Herr Keirs goon squads lose their pensions and end up on the receiving end of this nonsense.

  7. If Labour tries to put these in place, all it takes is Reform saying “Yeah we’ll nix that” to get a golden ticket in.

  8. The police have no business recording non-criminal ‘incidents’.

It makes an absolute mockery of the presumption of innocence, and our jurist forefathers would be rolling in their grave.

Any society in which one can effectively be treated as a criminal, and have such appear on police checks, without trial or indeed even committing an offence in law is unacceptably authoritarian.

Afaik these are not supported by primary legislation either so I hope they are challenged by judicial review, despite Miller v. College of Policing (2021) suggesting that non-crime hate incidents are not inherently unlawful. They seem to violate the ECHR

How do they handle the fact that some muslim groups think refusing to forcibly be converted to their religion is a “hate crime?” or questioning anyone of their religion in any way related to sex crimes etc they also consider “hate crimes”. because they truly deeply believe anyone in their religion can do whatever they want to anyone outside it.

Cant believe I actually voted for Labour. Given the threat a Tory-Reform coalition poses to them you’d think they’d maybe get their head out of the sand for a moment and read the room, apparently not.

  11. The problem of politics in the United Kingdom, as in many other countries, is tribalism at this point.

If one is right-leaning on a single subject, then they are automatically labelled a fascist, racist, unempathetic monster. Conversely, if one is left-leaning on a single subject, then they are deemed the most pro-Islamism, snowflake, irrational social-justice warrior that a fantasy writer could ever conceive. This causes political parties to lack nuanced approaches to real-world issues such as immigration, energy generation, and education. So, we we end up with a pro-environment party, the Green Party, which is in favour of environmental causes but against one of the most efficient sources of energy that humanity has devised—nuclear reactions. Alternatively, we end up the ever-so-tolerant Labour Party, which is so tolerant as to fall for the tolerance paradox, whereby the tolerant become victims of their own tolerance. Finally, we also get the Tory Party which, instead of promoting a prosperous economy, only uses populism to pander for votes and shows no progress in the style of more economically liberal policies.

What we need is a politician who has the courage to go beyond all the labels, orientations, and descriptions, and to tackle real-world problems as they occur, not to please, but to solve.

I am very left-leaning on many matters—for example, sexuality, body independence, psychoactive substances, education, healthcare, social services, and freedom of movement across countries—but I am also very much against religions, hosting refugees, lack of cultural integration, unabated immigration, cutting funding for policing, and I also favour the use of nuclear energy.

Why do we not have someone who is rational rather than tribal?

Unfortunately for Labour, they cannot say what is obvious to all because of the ideology they have chosen to follow.

The funny thing is, if you had any experience at all of labour, or understood what they were about, you would not be surprised by this.

They don’t care about your rights, they don’t care about you, all they want is control.

Thats making sure you don’t speak out, act out, or oppose anything they are doing, because they will just throw you in jail.

Anyway, you wanted this, so fuck around and find out I guess.

    Fuck off labour

I’m done with this. You have done what the lib Dems did with tuition fees but spread across your sorry little vision instead of one big lie

    Fuck off labour

I prefer a common working class would have worked in a factory type than a posh boy Eton privilege cunt but I’m basically done

Kinda sad to realise you’re a part of the LGBT+ just as it seems every major party either wants you to have less rights or, if you’re lucky, ignores you entirely.

Free speech will die under labour. Blair did all he could to kill it. Starmer will finish the job.

  17. Fuck me he really isn’t beating those two-tier keir allegations now, is he?

Watch this thing weaponished to stop white working class communities for quite rightly questioning where this country is headed.

  18. Why don’t they just focus on fixing the economy? If people are actually making money and happy, all this craps would not be happening at the first place.
