  1. This is how they plan to “win”, and they’re going to continue it right up to election day. Check your registration daily. Multiple times daily in the week leading up to November 5.

I like how he had to admit in this release just how few were noncitizen voters, but it’s still the first and only thing on the list of 1.1 million that they talk about.

    “Ineligible.”

Texas is literally rigged and I don’t know how you guys are gonna solve it.

This right after they raid LULAC, thus demonstrating why it was created in the first place.

Republicans are terrified and the only thing they can do is intimidate and rat fucking.

Remember that Republicans have been in control of Texas for 30 years, so anything happening now is on them. They’ve been using immigration as a boogieman for at least the last 20 years, but they haven’t done anything to “fix” it.

Verify your voting status and vote!

  5. In fairness to Abbot, hispanicking over the fact this is a high stakes election. So he just went black and doubled checked everyone’s voter trans to make sure he got the voter rolls white.

  6. THIS is what voters in Texas are dealing with. Stop telling them to “just vote harder!”, when there’s a chance their vote will just get thrown away.

Texans don’t need to “vote harder!”, they need the DOJ to do its fucking job and hold Republicans accountable for blatant cheating.

In the report it says: Of the over 6,500 noncitizens removed from the voter rolls, approximately 1,930 have a voter history. What do you want to bet that at least 1,900 of these 1,930 voters are actually cases of legal voters having the same name/birthday as non-citizens. I would be incredibly surprised if they can find 1,930 non-citizens who voted illegally as this would, I believe, exceed the total number ever found in previous investigations in the US. However, it is a very common problem in these voter validation processes to mistake people who have the same name.

  8. This suspense list resulted in 463,000 voter registrations being suspended. The idea that someone can just make an assumption and cause a voter to lose their right at the poll (even if only temporarily) is a horrible idea. Why do they keep letting garbage people run their government?

Removing voters from the rolls is the dumbest thing, voting is a right, the ability to remove eligible voters on a whim infringes on that right. I think once you register, you should stay registered.

    >voters who failed to respond to a notice of examination

    >voters on the suspense list

I have issues with performing these two so close to the election.

It says 463,000 people were removed were on the “Suspense List”. I hadn’t heard of that so i looked it up. Apparently, the state can put you on this list if they have reason to believe that a voters address is different from their registered address.

You are automatically put on the Suspense List when:

    * The voter’s registration certificate has been returned as non-deliverable;
    * A Jury Summons is returned as non-deliverable; or
    * Any mailing that was sent to the voter was returned as non-deliverable.

Then they send you a Notice of Address Verification in the mail and you have 30 days to respond.

When our democracy relies on the efficacy of the United States Postal Service you know we’re fucked. Especially when republicans do everything they can to make sure its underfunded.

  12. I’ve been warning of this. They’ve done the same thing in Florida and removed a million voters who happen to be exclusively democrats. They’re hoping to depress turnout and disenfranchise voters.
