“More than 75% of those polled have negative views of Government’s performance in relation to these two issues”

“Only in Dublin – where 25 per cent of people cite housing and 20 per cent immigration – does housing remain in the number one position among the issues.”

“On both issues, more than three-quarters of voters have a negative view of the Government’s performance.”

    – From the latest Ipsos snapshot poll from the Irish Times

These polls are a bit amiss when they only focus on the top two concerns. I’m pissed of at a dozen plus fundamentals in this country

No need for FFG to pay the slightest bit of notice to this, because many of the same ones unhappy with their performance will be the same gobshites mindlessly voting them right back in, in a few months time.

  4. There is a certain overlap between the housing and immigration issues.

Immigrants, whether legal, illegal, refugee whatever will require housing and add to the demand of people looking for housing exacerbating the housing crisis.

A detailed policy getting tough on border control and immigration would be a real vote winner for the two major parties in government.
