Addict or not if he did crime he needs to take responsibility for it. Without the detail we can assume the sentence was commensurate. There’s a lot more to this story than the headline. But The Journal again showing zero class or empathy. But am sure they’re delighted with themselves with that completely unprovable headline.

The sheer lack of self awareness on display in this sub never ceases to amaze. Let’s get our validation/engagement fix for the hour by conveying a “ha ha get fucked” to another addict. While showing zero empathy for a grieving family and loss of life.

How often do we read about pedophiles, abusers, and perverts getting fully suspended sentences?
Drunk drivers risk everyone’s life, and they rarely face prison.

Has anyone managed to find an article from when he got convicted in June of 2022 in Cork? Have they all been scrubbed? All I can find from that month is a addict who owed €80k of debt and with 34 convictions getting a sentence of 11 months. Whereas this article speaks of a 18 month sentence handed down in June 2022
