I think the media needs to get better at how they cover 3rd party candidates. This isn’t Ross Perot or even George Wallace not every 3rd party candidate is a viable candidate that deserves attention from news organizations. Only take them seriously if they are a serious campaign that has actually built up momentum and deserves the attention of the media. Stop giving every RFK and Jill Stein our attention every 4 years. If it’s just because you don’t like the electoral college how about pointing out how flawed the electoral college is every 4 years rather than trying to support a third party candidate that isn’t a viable candidate. There are actual legislative measures that are trying to be passed to get rid of the electoral college. Support those causes rather than these candidates.
