  1. As they should, this has destroyed people’s lives. I know someone who can’t even leave the house as she is so incontinent after the mesh, and scared of smelling etc in public. To add insult to injury, the NHS incontinence pads she is prescribed are rubbish and she can’t afford to buy enough of her own.

  2. My mum had this procedure. It hasn’t cured her prolapse and she still suffers with incontinence. I actually think she’s worse for having it done… She also struggles with certain movements, she can’t even pull the empty wheelie bin without feeling discomfort and a tugging painful sensation that she believes is the mesh… She’s on the waiting list for the Gynae department, but not sure what they will be able to do, don’t think it’s possible to remove the mesh…

    Women’s healthcare has always been bad, but just seeing the number of women who are suffering, having been given this experimental mesh treatment is just really upsetting. Hope every woman affected will get a pay out as compensation for the pain this has caused them.
