A bit like kicking a dead horse.
Kristjan Viilmann, head of Telia Estonia’s private customer unit, began by saying that there is nothing wrong with Estonia. “Analyses confirm that the price level of Internet services in Estonia is completely reasonable, being among the European averages. Considering our small population and Estonia’s scattered population, this is a very good result, because the smaller number of customers and their scattered locations put pressure on the profitability of investments,” said Viilmann.
According to Viilmann, price comparisons in the press are not adequate, because not all subtleties that affect prices are taken into account: service availability, technologies used, quality of networks, availability of technical support, cost of development work, speed parameters and the like.
“Also, for example, Telia currently offers the same prices in Estonia in both sparsely populated and densely populated areas. At the same time, it is clear that building a communication network and providing services in a sparsely populated country is very expensive,” Viilmann stated.
Here, I reduce my max to 50MB over the air, for which I pay a total of 31 euros with equipment rental. I hit the table with my fist and do some shit to myself and move on with my life.
