Please be true, Harris needs both houses in Congress to get anything done because Republicans will block their own bills to prevent Democrats from looking good. There is so much shit that they’ve broken that needs to be fixed, especially the Supreme Court. Can’t do that without Congress.
ETA: I can’t believe I forgot that the Senate is who confirms presidential appointments for both the Judiciary and Executive branches. McConnell will just steal more power by refusing to confirm anyone that isn’t an extremist if Republicans regain control of the Senate. Democrats *must* keep the Senate and retake the House in order to have a remotely functioning government, let alone fix anything.
