  1. >In yet another sign that Europe’s national political elites are intent on weaponising the law against those who dissent from progressive orthodoxy

Viewing the proposed law in Cyprus as anything remotely stemming from progressivism conveys that the author of the article does not understand or wish to understand Cypriot politics. It seems more like a right-wing pundit who knows nothing about Cypriot politics using this proposed law to poke at the EU as a whole, as if it’s a political monolith.

  2. And between the lines: corrupted mf politician wishes to silence his critics and erode democracy.

  3. People committing financial fraud worth millions on the backs of citizens get nothing. Fake news legislation presumably is protecting these individuals. What a joke of a country

  4. Downvote me if you like, but I’m sick of all these “free speech” advocates. Usually Trump/Musk simps that want to spout their prejudiced, baseless conspiracy theories which are, at best, a waste of time. At worst they insight violence like we saw recently in the UK. And in most cases they mislead people into voting for right-wing politicians that will continue the alarming spread of global extremism. It’s high time for some accountability.
