    Bit of a joke if she can’t end the tenancy early without the landlord’s permission.

  2. I was surprised to learn cockroaches exist in the UK. I’ve heard of them being in the UK but in all my years had never seen one, I grew up on a council estate as well.

    Now I live in a part of the world with a much warmer climate where there’s a lot of them. I’m still quite lucky though and never see them anywhere that I live, just always on the streets

  3. You shouldn’t need permission from your landlord to “break contract” in a situation like this. Also the practice of always putting renters into 12 month contract renewals can fuck right off.

    I live in a city with about 10 cockroaches for every person. And I’ve only seen them in my home twice.
