  1. How normal.

Talking about the country and being excited for his party.

    Not talking about weirdos…

A Party that is confident enough in their own Policies and Candidates they don’t have to spend every single sentence talking about their opponents? Unheard of!

Good! Highroad when you can. Don’t soil the convention by inviting *he who shall not be named* by name. Stand on policy, not in a pile of 💩.

  4. Walz is pitch perfect…I can’t believe how wrong I was about picking him. I wasn’t really disappointed, but he wasn’t my pick.

There is no better VP for Harris than Tim.

  5. That’s the kind of behavior that will drive those with nothing more than an opposition platform over the edge. Good show.

Perfect. Make it all about policy and a hopeful future.

Let it eat away at Trump that he is being ignored.

I would love it if they went out of their way not to say his name even once this week, or save it for Kamala’s speech.

  8. this is what I was hoping for! I hope they don’t mention the rapist’s name at all during the next 4 days.

I just get happy looking at that photo. The Harris/Walz joy is contagious. Thanks!

  10. Honestly this would be the best strategy for the entire convention and all speakers. Especially any Republican speakers. Don’t mention Orange at all, or JD. Focus on policy and comparing visions without ever mention Orange’s name. It will drive him insane.

From several interviews with swing voters I’ve heard, none of them want to hear about Trump anymore. They, like everyone else in the world, has an opinion about Trump that is fully formed and some degree of negative. They all say they want to hear a positive vision of the future. They want to hear what Harris has to say about the next four years. Negative partisanship is extremely powerful, so they can’t completely ignore Trump, but I think they’re better off focusing on a productive and positive view of the future as much as possible. Negativity and fighting turns off everyone but partisans that are already fired up to vote.

  12. What’s he doing?!? How can he expect to win if he’s not throwing a temper tantrum? Not fit for president. He doesn’t even have a poopy diaper on.

  13. We already had reasons to vote against trump, now they’re giving us reasons to vote for them.

Don’t give him the attention he craves. Trump already created a diversion with the AI Taylor Swift nonsense to take attention away from the DNC. Nothing stings like indifference for Trump.

  15. Excellent strategy: just ignore the weirdness. It’s the greatest insult: complete *disregard and indifference*. Go Tim!

This is great. I just answered a poll by picking the “Unsure of Candidate” for both Trump and Vance.

Those weirdos are always hogging the spotlight. Let’s not pay too close attention to their feelings.

  17. This is the way.

Furthermore, we should collectively do as he does. The less said about anybody on the Republican ticket, the better.

Only one thing matters: **vote Democrat straight downticket.**

Nothing else needs to be said.

At the RNC, all they talked about was Democratic policies and politicians.

At the DNC, they’re talking about Democratic policies and politicians.

If you want to hear about the policies and politicians the Democrats are putting up, why would you listen to a republican on it? The republicans aren’t even talking about their own policies or politicians, since they have nothing to offer on that regard.

  19. This must really get under the Republicans skin to not be the center of attention even at the DNC

Because he actually has something to show for in life and offers ideas for a better future instead of just rambling about crowd sizes

    I love it.

If the Democrats can show election is about what they want to do and have accomplished, rather than “We’re not the other guys” they’ll have a better shot getting the undecided.

  22. whitepeaches12 on

I hope they do this throughout the entire DNC. Democrats have more popular policies on topics like LGBTQ+ rights, abortion and gun control- focus on that and not the weirdos.

  23. Good. They should focus on themselves and do everything possible to ignore them publicly. Trump thrives on knowing his opponents are constantly thinking about him. Not publicly acknowledging his bs will make him imbalanced. Making the election about the issues and not about the other side will do more than slinging mud. The GOP knows this, which is why they’re trying to get MAGA to change course.

I was legitimately concerned that they were going to overplay the “weird” thing and then shoot their load too early.

Democrats with popular policies and competent strategists? Pinch me.

  25. Good way to open and it would be very funny if no one ever mentioned Trump, at all. Most likely not going happen but if they pulled that off it might be incredible.
