Well lads can I get some opinions and what you would drink out of the 3 of these? In our case I’m going Murphy’s, Beamish then Guinness

Depends on how the flow for all three is. In many places Guinness is the most popular and so will taste the freshest.

If all three options are being pulled with the same frequency I agree with your rating.

  2. Beamish, Murphy’s, Guinness.

1/3rd of each in a pint glass.

Must be poured in that order.

    All good but:

    1. Murphys 2. Guinness 3. Beamish.

I love a good Guinness – but Murphys is less hoppy and easier to drink.

No great love for Beamish it always reminds me of Irish pubs abroad.

    In Cork:

    1. Beamy
    2. Murphy
    3. Guinney

    Outside Cork:
    1. Guinney
    2. Guinney
    3. Guinness Foreign Extra Stout aka Nigerian Guinness

  5. Location location location

    Beamish in the city
    Murphy’s in the County
Guinness in the provinces or engaged in missionary work abroad

If you order Murphys or Beamish outside Cork you’re just trying to be different and you’re going to get a stink, stale pint.

Guinness is the best selling stout in the world. Its the best. A good pint of Guinness is one of lifes great pleasures.

  7. Guinness usually but when I’m in cork city then a beamish goes down well. I’m not a huge Murphy’s fan because I always got this like coffee taste or something that I wasnt a huge fan of

That’s the Irish trinity. They are one of the same

    Father, Son and Holy Ghoshhht.

Don’t forget that Guinness is also called traitor juice, so is that included in the equation?

Beamish and Murphys definitely have a nicer flavour.

Aside from that, the other notable debate about Sunday pints is you should not drink past 6pm…it maybe a weekend day but it’s still a schoolnight.

  11. Beamish, Murphy’s then Guinness. I prefer the bolder flavours.

Not listed but Alex Oatmeal Stout by Wicklow Wolf or Mí Daza by Rising Sons Brewery are great if ye ever get the chance

  12. Dubs opinion, all being equal, Beamish, Murphys then Guinness. I’m fortunate to have probably the cheapest pint of Beamish in Dublin in my local, 50c cheaper than the Guinness, so it’s always fresh.

    Guinness in most places
    Beamish in Cork
Murphy’s if I’m in a pub where it’s being poured regularly

Beamish for its roasted notes, Murphy’s is a tad sweet and then Guinness for the pure session-ability of it
