    It’s a private company.
He either earns this or doesn’t, if he says he doesn’t then I’d believe him.
It seems he has few concerns over not being seen to act for constituents, for which I believe there is no recourse.

    Yeah, big difference with VAT!!!

BBC, the correct title would be Grifter Nigel Farage gaslighting public about his £ 1 million salary.

  3. Agreeable_Falcon1044 on

Why did he declare it then? Surely this needs to be representative of his income. If the details provided aren’t, then it’s not the fault of the bbc for reporting it

If the payment covers several months of work, why has he submitted the payments specifically stating “Remuneration: £97,928.40 a month”

We’ll find out in the next publication whether this was an error, or if the grifting liar is currently lying about his grift.

I can barely stand the suspense, which will it be.

Employing himself via a private firm is essentially there for legal tax avoidance.

Instead of being a PAYE employee for GB news and paying ENIC, NIC and income tax… he invoices via his company, pays corp tax on profits and then dividend tax.

Having a private company means he can “employ” his children, wife, dog, etc to further reduce the tax bill. Corp tax can also further be reduced by creating “expenses” for things like commuting costs and hotels – the sort of things everyone else has to pay for post tax. Money can also be invested in other assets (rental property for example) without paying tax. Finally when he dies there is very generous IHT relief on private businesses, so all of his assets will be protected.

If your employer agrees to it… using a private company is just a very tax efficient way of getting paid for work.

  6. Is he just going to say “actually the information I’ve provided isn’t accurate” and leave it at that? If that’s so then he needs to tell us exactly how much he does earn. I think the man really doesn’t appreciate just how much transparency is expected of him now.

  7. So where IS the money coming from? Russia? Brussels? The Epstein estate? I don’t know, I’m just asking questions.

I appreciate this guy’s earning nearly 9x more than me but he’s actually a lot poorer than I would’ve thought.

  9. He’s more scared of this story because of HMRC than because of public opinion.

Sums up these disgusting morally bankrupt people.

  10. Yeah it’s 50k from GB news 50k from Putin.

Jokes aside, how anyone trusts a word he says is beyond me. He’s a proven liar and grifter.

  11. His company is being paid that amount by GB news, that part is true.

It’s a bit disingenuous to say the company then has significant expenses, with no details. Presumably him being a media personality occurs just trivial expenses like travel, clothing, hotels, and a laptop. Whatever is left ends up in either his pocket or close family as a dividend, more or less equivalent to what he’d get if he were directly employed.

Doesn’t matter what he earns it’s really non of our concern. The fact these stories come about are only to try and put a negative spin on the man. Regardless of what is posted – Farages following is growing exponentially thank God.

  13. This is his entire fucking shtick. Just like with his tier tier video about the Southport stabbing, he could go on radio and calmly say ‘I never in cited violence I just said question should be asked’… ‘I don’t get paid £1m by GB News, my company does, they don’t pay me anything’.

Rees-Mogg did the same thing fairly frequently – taking a legalistic precision to statements to prevent anything sticking to him.

Both of them grifters and utterly out for their own benefit. Not shred of interest in Britain or British people.

  14. How can any sitting politicians be allowed to have their own tv show is beyond parody!

It should be law, that any elected MP has no outside income from work for the duration of their time in Parliament.
The one who pays the wages calls the shots!!!- & I for one don’t want the owners of GB news telling a sitting MP what to do that will directly impact me and my family. GB news owners are not elected and should have no influence on our democracy.

  15. I’ve not read the article but what’s the TLDR? It’s quite common for MPs to have second jobs right?

  16. Ambitious_Display845 on

Of course his private company is called ‘Thorn In The Side’
    What a self important wanker.

  17. Womp Womp…..hes not the first and not the last. If you want to hate anyone hate those that do nothing to prevent this from being allowed.

  18. Mysterious-Jelly6853 on

They should pay him more, that way they’ll go bankrupt and I’ll never have to see his shit eating grin or hear one of his dumbass fucking opinions ever again
