No wonder the costs for health insurance are going up so much.
Now, people who take care of a family member at home can register with Spitex and receive a salary. For example, CHF 30 per hour. That’s great.
BUT: The private Spitex services receive CHF 52.50 from the health insurance and CHF 20 from the municipality. The remaining CHF 42.50, they pocket themselves for the simple act of sending the bill to the health insurance.
It’s estimated that there are 600,000 people in Switzerland who take care of relatives at home.
No wonder countless Spitex services are currently advertising everywhere. A true goldmine.
Here’s a video from *Kassensturz*: https://youtu.be/WRgUymUqpzk
So, who among you still wants to get rich quickly? Start a Spitex service from your home office, forward a few invoices to the health insurance… and voilĂ , you’re a multimillionaire funded by health insurance. Good luck!
Don’t get me wrong: Home care is great. Also, it’s good that these family caregivers receive money. The problem is that the caregivers only get CHF 30 out of the CHF 72.50. The remaining CHF 42.50 is kept by Spitex for themselves. And that’s per hour of work. Funded by you.
