Does anyone expect anything else from FFG?

Criminally incompetent, the lot of them.

    The year is is 2350.

As is tradition, the government announces a further 500 million euro is going to be dumped into the largest arena in Ireland, once known as the National Children’s Hospital. The money is set alight in celebration once per year.

It is believed that historically, money was given to the construction of the hospital. However, the money kept going towards it and yet the hospital never opened.

It is not exactly known when the tradition started. However, among the common folk it is heard that burning the money is a far better use than where the money once went to in times gone by, and the public are only happy at the revelry and day off work that comes with this old tradition, once per year.

Governments have fallen for less in the past. In any other state, heads would have rolled by now.

Even the reason why this particular site was chosen stank to high heaven of back handers and corruption.

The Irish public have either become blasé or are just numb to this gargantuan shit show.

Dubai and Saudi Arabia will wonder if we have discovered oil on the site ffs. No end in sight and 2 billion later.

This is cocaine celtic tiger madness all over again, believing we are somehow just awash with endless amounts of money to piss away.

If Trump wins, he has said he will lower American Corporation tax to entice all these Big Tech companies back to the US.

    Can you imagine that?
Ireland would be fucking Moldova overnight.

Some new advisor to the government Prof. Steven Kinsella has painted a very grim picture of our future regarding this scenario. Trump maintains this is a policy he will follow through on.

So, we’ll keep our heads firmly up our own arse until Trump comes along and bites it.
    Be afraid, be very afraid.
    ✌️🙏

  4. Ah well. What do you expect when you cheap-arse it……………………………………………………………………………………………….

  5. This is a fucking joke!!!

Govt have allowed themselves be given the absolute runaround on this.

    Idiots.

And it’s not even in the right location.

We need an actual inquisition level authority to take drastic action against the rampant corruption in this country.

Throwing sick and dying children under the bus to siphon off billions of tax money into private hands.

Do not give into gaslighting and believe incompetence caused this money making machine.

  7. Ah sure if they finished building it they’d have to worry about staffing it which from what I can see they have no means of doing.

Feels like not terribly long ago that Fine Gael were promising themselves as the big infrastructure on time and on budget party to get things done. How’s that going.

  9. Shocking no one. Hope there isn’t an economic downturn soon, since we’ve spunking all of the excess income from excessive corporation tax receipts etc on this and other things.
