Said bonfire…
That’s fine, do they treat the burning of the tricolour on the 12th as a hate crime?
We need to do something about these rogue vexillologists.
Loyalists burn effigy’s of people and threats to kill on their fires and you don’t see a thing done about it but god forbid someone calls Netanyahu a fascist.

I think it’s slightly odd that burning a flag is considered a hate crime. In my opinion burning a flag can be a completely legitimate protest.
Before people hit me with “ah but I bet you don’t think the same when it’s the tricolour being burned” I actually do. I disagree with loyalists burning the tricolour, but they should be allowed to do so.
My issue with the bonfires isn’t burning flags, it’s burning effigies of real living people and literal calls to kill an entire group, “KAT”, for example. That’s where these bonfires cross the line.
Funnily enough they don’t seem overly bothered when Unionists burn Republican effigies every July?
I suspect that if it wasn’t for all the inclusion of Israeli flags and public sentiment turning against them rapidly Zionist lobby groups would not have campaigned and lobbied for such actions and the UK government would have let things carry on as usual.
It is great to celebrate the Assumption of Our Lady but no need to burn flags.
