  1. Couldn’t have been easy relinquishing a second chance to be the most powerful man on Earth, but I hope all the fanfare and praise he’s gotten has assuaged his pain. I think you can tell that he really wishes he could serve his country again.

Nothing but love for Biden— an imperfect human like the rest of us, but he leads from his heart and with love for America and for ALL Americans. I have no doubt that despite how the MAGAs try to spin him, he is going to be known throughout history as one of the greatest. He stepped up when we needed him to, and stepped back when we needed him. He’s awesome! ❤️

I bet this is really conflicting internally. People are genuinely thankful that you’re stepping away to give the party a better chance. It would be hard to not think at the same time they’re thanking me for not doing my job anymore. A delicate ego couldn’t handle that, cough cough. I’m sure he’ll be fine and this certainly helps his legacy especially if she wins, but still rough lol

Yes, it was a “good” and “right” thing for him to do, and that felt like a big relief to anyone who cares, but if you think about it, pulling the rug out from under Trump like that was a pretty on-brand Dark Brandon move…

  5. This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/biden-harris-hold-1st-joint-event-dropped-touting/story?id=112859079) reduced by 89%. (I’m a bot)

    > President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris held their first joint event since Biden exited the 2024 race and endorsed her to take his place atop the Democratic ticket.

    > Harris spoke first at the event and took a moment to praise Biden for his work on the issue, as the crowd broke out into chants of "Thank you, Joe!".

    > "Our extraordinary president, Joe Biden. And he's going to speak in a minute, but there's a lot of love in this room for our president. And I think it is for many, many reasons, including few leaders in our nation have done more on so many issues, including to expand access to affordable health care than Joe Biden.”

  6. The right isn’t going to be able to paint this pivot as a coup or Biden as an angry old man.

Biden is not trump, he does things with grace and it results in widespread respect across his party. Trump could never get such genuine applause across his party.

  7. I want Joe now to start hammering on age. Everytime he has a gaff or something, he needs to say things like “when you get as old as me and Trump….” and just keep it up. Make every goof and error tied to age and make every age reference tied to trump.

The President did what DonOld would never do: put the country’s interest first.

  9. It’s really refreshing to see an energiezed Democratic base again. Let’s do this shit.

lol, the usual Russian propaganda subs were swearing up and down that Biden was going to fight back and get himself back in the race… lol!!

What a bunch of desperate weirdos!!

  11. Thank you Joe, you got a lot done in 4 years despite the current political climate. I know you had hoped to be President much earlier in your life but you can walk away from the White House with your head held high and this guy’s appreciation.

  12. Thank you Joe for riding off into the sunset on your mobility scooter! We all owe you a debt of gratitude. Enjoy the golf course

  13. Joe Biden really has been a wonderful president. I’m looking forward to seeing how the Democratic party will honor him at the convention – not just for his accomplishments, but for his sacrifice.

  14. Let’s not let him down. Vote the fuck outta this election, **especially** need blue across the board in mid-ballot.

  15. It made me cry. I love Biden. I would have gladly voted for him again but I’m hopeful he can enjoy a great retirement now! Thank you President Biden! You’re the best President of my lifetime.
