    > in an occupation dubbed “Upgrade Democracy”.

lol. Will be as successful as occupy wall street (ie not successful)

  2. I mean, this wouldn’t really trouble average members of the public while getting lots of press. I don’t agree with ER in policy but this seems like a totally reasonable protest plan for a civic disobedience group compared to ambulance blockades ect.

If you ignore that the police will and courts would come down on it like a hammer. But you know that catastrophe is on them.

That’s quite funny, I support them in this one. It’s annoying the rich folk not the everyday person.

  4. I mean … Isn’t this a location that would get you shot if you tried to Invade as a group?

Knowing King Charles, he’d probably visit them and say hello. He’s not exactly an advocate for the fossil fuel industry.

Why do these people love to target Royal events or locations when King Charles is a lifelong Climate Change activist?

Seems an odd target. The King was seen as eccentric and mad when he first started campaigning against Climate Change because the issue wasn’t as widely understood or cares about. I’d even go so far as to argue he was a founder in the issue becoming so important in this country and even the whole Western world.

  7. They will cause no end of environmental damage. A lot of them will probably not leave either.

Only problem with that plan is that Windsor castle is considered a protected site under Serious organised crime act 2005 and any trespassers could face criminal prosecution.

Yeah, good luck with that as I doubt royal security will tolerate any such attempt and won’t give a fuck about being rough.

They might want to run this passed the Household Division first. Best not have a bunch of angry Scots Guards taking the invasion the wrong way.

  11. I pity the intelligence officers that have to surreptitiously sit through ER’s planning meetings and stifle their laughter at the crackpot shit they must endlessly come out with….

  12. Last time I was at Windsor they had Gurkhas. Gurkhas will fuck you up in ways you won’t even know about and do it in absolute silence. Good luck kids.

Makes sense IMO. Better than blocking roads and stopping people going to work.

  14. I’d rather they did this than block motorways but the idea that they would be allowed to stay for 3 days is laughable

I’d be worried about them damaging Windsor Castle and grounds. If you’re not going to be physically removed, then you need to attack yourselves to something. Parts of Windsor Castle are nearly a thousand years old and it has a lot of cultural heritage. Same with the gardens and grounds.

There’s also an alleged plan to storm the castle itself, which would probably cause serious damage, as well as security concerns.

Plus, y’know, what are they using for toilets in a non-campsite

It’s like they want people to hate them. They claim this action will help raise awareness and recruit people to their cause, but it seriously alienates a massive proportion of the British public. Go occupy Oil Company offices or something

  16. Good good.

I heard judges are serving sentences on 5th gear now so few more for those eco terrorists will not be a problem.
