    Bands of heavy rain clouds likely over Tokyo as Typhoon Ampil approaches Japanese weather officials say bands of heavy rain clouds will likely develop over Tokyo and its surrounding areas as Typhoon Ampil approaches.

    The officials are warning that the risk of disasters will increase sharply in Tokyo and the prefectures of Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma, Saitama, Chiba, Kanagawa and Yamanashi if the clouds form over these areas.
