  1. No one has. I doubted Kamala would get the support she has when Biden announced he was going to step down. I didn’t think she had the charisma to get any meaningful support. Her campaign strength shocked me, as did their choice of VP. I fully expected them to fall flat again but happy to be wrong here

  2. >The issues and the conditions favor Donald Trump. He should be winning this election.

He recognizes what is happening but refuses to accept the reason.

  3. Frank Luntz is a professional at GOP messaging. What he’s doing here is sending out the message that Republicans must coalesce around Trump and the Trump campaign must blunt the Harris momentum.

It’s notable that the Trump campaign have basically done nothing productive in the field of ‘defining the opponent’. It’s been nearly a month of official Kamala Harris being the democratic party candidate for President, and they don’t seem to have a descriptor that sticks to Harris, so far.

  4. >Luntz told hosts of “Squawk Box” that he’s attempting to hold a focus group of undecided, younger female voters, but is having trouble finding enough people who fit that category.

Lol if there’s ANY group that would be undecided, this would be last on the list

I’m loving the fact that Trump and his sycophants can’t resist their racist, misogynistic nature by doubling-down on the “female-POC too dumb to lead” messaging.

I hope they ride that train full speed right over the cliff come November.

  6. I’m sure adopting a misogynistic and racist campaign is his best solution, that ought to really stem the tide. What a moron!

  7. > “She’s bringing out people who are not interested in voting for either Trump or Biden, so the entire electoral pool has changed and if it continues in this direction you have to start to consider Democrats winning the Senate and Democrats winning the House,” Luntz said Wednesday on CNBC.

    Things can change quickly, apparently.

  8. > The issues and the conditions favor Donald Trump. He should be winning this election.

No they really dont. The issues affecting ordinary Americans will get worse with trump just as they did when he was president.

    * Abortion issues dont favor trump, he wants to make it worse than he already has and allow states to eliminate birth control and ivf as well.
    * Education issues dont favor trump, all his cronies are currently working to annihilate public education
    * Wage stagnation doesnt favor trump, he didnt change it while president and even stated he wants to abolish a minimum wage
    * Union issues dont favor trump. He was laughing about union busting with Musk 2 days ago.
    * Rising home insurance costs dont favor trump. In his own state of Florida, climate change and has made the rates the highest in the country but he, in his own words, prefers “more oceanfront property” from increasing sea levels.
    * Higher costs of goods dont favor trump. His proposed tarrifs will make them even higher.
    * Cost of healthcare doesnt favor trump
    * Social Security and Medicare issues dont favor trump
    * Health care for the disabled doesnt favor trump. He thinks they should die (his words).
    * Even immigration doesnt favor trump, he just likes to use it as a fearmongering tool.

The only issues that appear to truly favor trump are those that pad the bank accounts of the extremely wealthy.

Treat this like disinformation. Act like Harris is down 15.

Send the money. Knock on the doors. Run through the goddamn tape this time, unlike 2016.

    >“There are issues, attributes and the condition of the country. The issues and the conditions favor Donald Trump. He should be winning this election. But the attributes are so much in Harris’ favor that he’s not.”

This is such bullshit. The primary issue every election year is the economy. Historically and specifically, democrats are better at the economy. Who passed infrastructure and manufacturing bills in the last 8 years? Democrats Who passed a tax cut for billionaires, and raised taxes for the middle class? Republicans. On any issue that requires mature responsible leadership, Democrats offer the only candidate.

Now if voters cared about larger criminal records, who rapes the most women, and which Party has more pedophiles convicted of their crimes, that’s clearly the Republicans.  They even have democrats beat on which candidate shits themselves in public and has to wear a diaper, and the worst business record.

  11. Joe Biden was unpopular and Dems were unenthusiastic about him due to his age and stamina. Donald Trump is even more unpopular due to his… well, everything. Democrats replaced Biden with someone with very similar policies but who is younger and more energetic. It’s not hard to see what happened.

  12. Here is a clue for him: people are sick to death of all the divisive hate. It is dragging America down. If Trump and the GOP had an actual platform other than hating the “other” they might be able to compete. They don’t so they can’t. Take four years and A) get rid of Trump B) develop a platform for the working class that doesn’t start with cutting taxes on the rich.

  13. > “Now my groups are broken up by young women saying, ‘I’m not voting for him anymore.’”

Sorry, but how the fuck were you voting for him before?

  14. I can’t figure out why a guy who straight out told his elderly supporters he doesn’t care if they die of the cold when voting, just as long as they make it to the polling station and vote for him first, isn’t doing as well as he thought he would.

    > “You shift the demographics and you shift the entire outcome,” he said. “There are issues, attributes and the condition of the country. The issues and the conditions favor Donald Trump. He should be winning this election. But the attributes are so much in Harris’ favor that he’s not.”

I sometimes feel like I’m taking crazy pills because to this day I honestly don’t understand what would make a person want to put their trust in Trump, in good times *or especially bad times*.

Like I know there’s powerful propaganda machines on both sides, I know the US has grown hyper partisan, I know there are folks who’ve been conditioned by a lifetime of living in political bubbles… but I still don’t know how there is a reality where someone can go “Trump SHOULD be winning this election”. Could be winning? Sure. But should?

  16. Its a miracle what happens when people are voting for someone and not just against someone.

GOP is now a cult and has a shit candidate. Trump won in 2016 by a tko and lost the popular vote both in 2016 and 2020. Lost the house in 2018 and both the senate and White House in 2020. 2022 wasn’t a red wave.

GOP had countless chances to end the Trump experiment but decided to triple down on the toxicity of Trump and Maga. He’s a felon, twice impeached former president.

I fully believe Biden would have won in 2024 but the stakes are too high to gamble on this one. If Kamala keeps this up we may see a historic election result with one or two states turning blue we never thought was possible

  18. UrbanSolace13 on

He’s a historically weak candidate. It shouldn’t be a surprise. The Dems were desperate to rally behind anyone under 65.

  19. Why does everyone keep saying “Republicans are leading on the issues!”

Which issues are Republicans leading on? I don’t understand!

  20. Conservatives have put forward the weakest ticket in history. Because they are out of control and irresponsible. You can’t keep a con this stupid going for this long.

  21. Frank Luntz is skilled at sophistry. He’s the guy who convinced Republicans in Congress that if they called inheritance taxes “death taxes” they could eliminate them. This results in the absurdity of billionaires’ children inheriting billions of dollars without paying income taxes on it, while working class people continue to have taxes withheld from their meager hourly pay. Luntz is skilled at finding just the right language to make very bad ideas sound like good ideas to a gullible audience.
