I thought this was just some dumb minor problem that was being amplified just for clicks. And then I listened to the interview.
Hollllyyyyyyyyyy shit. It’s non-stop slurring, but also somehow *worse*. Because of his signature speaking style and malicious personality, he sounds like a 90 year old deranged and excited dork with a mouthful of marbles. “I’m not TttthhhhhhTupid! They’re TTTTHHtupid!!!”. It’s actually worse than you are now imagining. And it’s like that the WHOLE time! I actually couldn’t stop laughing listening to it. It sounds so bad it actually defeats any kind of vacuous point he’s making and enters a realm of comedy.
My gut feeling is that it could only be a sound/resolution issue, because it’s so hilariously mangled. I suppose he could be stroking out. But all I know is if I were Trump, I would wanna sue Musk for letting that happen. It sounds so bad it could cost him the election.
I am sick of the media normalizing his campaign and the crazy unacceptable things they say. His campaign did NOT say “Must be your ears.” They said “Must be your shitty hearing. Check your ears.”

As a tech I can say.. no. It was not a technical glitch. He’s full of shit.
I’ve heard one possible explanation is that he wears dentures, and during the interview, his dentures were loose. It also explains past difficulties with certain words, like saying oranges instead of origins. He can’t let anyone know about it and it getting in the news, because it would make him look old and weak.
Old guy won’t admit he wears dentures and they were loose or he took them out. It’s so fucking weird.
